Kamaliya Kids Welfare Foundation 2014

Kamaliya

Kamaliya, the singer-actress married to Kyiv Post publisher Mohammad Zahoor, raised nearly $7,000 to help renovate a building in Kyiv Oblast’s Rzhyshchev to house children displaced by Russia’s war in eastern Ukraine.

The charity event took place on Dec.17 at the Freedom Concert Hall in Kyiv.

Kamaliya showed her wide range of talents, from opera to pop/rock and folk songs, as well as her ability to sing in several languages, including Italian, Ukrainian, German and English. She also sprinkled in a few Christmas classics.

More than 300 people attended the invitation-only event in which Pavlo Shylko, or “DJ Pasha,” served as emcee.

Frank Leistner
Frank Leistner of Germany spoke of helping Kamaliya’s charity fund, saying that 80,000 euros have been raised, seven trucks of relief supplies sent and negotiations started to deliver 40 new ambulances to Ukraine.

Karolina Wirowska
Karolina Wirowska of the “Safe Because Visible” campaign in Poland announced that shoe producer Bartek provided shoes with reflective strips to children under the patronage of Kamaliya’s fund.

We would be grateful to my fans and friends all over the world if you contribute to my Foundation to help the children in need of your attention.

“We have to think about the future. A better future. Do not be indifferent to those who needs help. We are all family and our strength is to support each other.

St. Nicholas will give people Faith, Hope and Love”
